About
Kevin Burrage is Emeritus Professor of Computational Mathematics at QUT with a distinguished career spanning computational mathematics and systems biology. He holds a PhD from University of Auckland and previously served as Professor at University of Oxford. His research develops numerical methods for differential equations applied to biological systems.
Research focuses on multi-scale modeling of cardiac electrophysiology and cellular kinetics, including cardiac digital twins for drug testing. Secondary interests include fractional calculus applications and stochastic modeling of biological systems.
Professor Burrage has attracted over $30M in research funding and received honors including an ARC Federation Fellowship (2003-2008) and Oliver Smithies Fellowship at Oxford. He leads projects on multiscale modeling frameworks for biological systems.
