Kevin Brock

Kevin Brock is an Associate Professor and Director of First-Year English in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of South Carolina's McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. He specializes in Composition Studies, Digital Rhetoric, Software and Code Studies, and Technical Communication. Brock holds a PhD in Communication, Rhetoric, & Digital Media from North Carolina State University (2013).

His research explores intersections between rhetoric, technology, and code, focusing on procedural persuasion, algorithmic discourse, and computational creativity. Notable works include Rhetorical Code Studies (2019) and articles analyzing the rhetoric of games, programming practices, and digital literacies. He teaches courses such as Technical Writing, Digital Writing, and Advanced Writing.
