Dr. Kevin Bottomley is an Assistant Professor in the Ph.D. in Global Leadership program at Indiana Tech's College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from North Carolina A&T State University, an MPA in Public Affairs/Nonprofit Management from the University of North Carolina–Greensboro, and a BS in Sports Medicine from Guilford College. His professional experience includes roles as Adjunct Instructor at Indiana Tech and Franciscan University, Senior Lead Faculty Area Chair at the University of Phoenix, and Executive Director of the YMCAs of Greensboro.
His research focuses on sustainable leadership, decision-making processes, and generational dynamics in leadership contexts. He has authored articles and book chapters on topics such as online doctoral education, millennial leadership, and leadership succession planning. His work has been presented at national and international conferences, including the Distance Learning Administrators Conference and the Hawaii International Conference on Education.
Dr. Bottomley brings 24 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including 15 years as Executive Director of the YMCA of Greensboro. This dual academic and practical background enables him to bridge theoretical leadership concepts with real-world organizational challenges.
