Kevin Bishop

Kevin Bishop is a Lecturer in Multimedia Journalism at Falmouth University. With over 30 years in broadcast news, he has held senior roles at NBC News and BBC News as a producer and bureau chief. His career spans global coverage including the BBC's coverage of Nelson Mandela's funeral, FIFA World Cup events, and the Olympics. He currently teaches Journalism BA(Hons), Journalism and Communications, Journalism and Creative Writing, and Sports Journalism courses. Educated at Bradford University with a BA in Modern Languages, he combines academic instruction with professional media production services for local organizations.

His work emphasizes field producing in conflict zones, royal events, and global sports coverage. Beyond academia, he produces videos for sports clubs and charities through his independent production services, focusing on community projects and cultural documentation. He volunteers as a film-maker with Falmouth Rugby Club and Cornwall Under-20s squad, reflecting his passion for local engagement and sports media.
