Kevin B. Jones

Kevin B. Jones was Director of the Institute for Energy and the Environment at Vermont Law and Graduate School and Professor of Energy Technology and Policy. He held a PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a master's from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a BS from the University of Vermont.

His expertise included energy law, smart grid systems, solar PV, and sustainable energy transitions. Jones co-authored the book A Smarter, Greener Grid: Forging Environmental Progress through Smart Energy Policies and Technologies and led initiatives like the Energy Clinic and Global Sustainability Field Study program.

He previously served as director of power market policy for the Long Island Power Authority and energy policy director for New York City. The Kevin B. Jones Fund was established to continue his legacy of training clean energy leaders.
