Kerstin Roger is a Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Her research focuses on chronic illness, mental health, aging, caregiving, and end-of-life studies. Dr. Roger has led nationally and internationally funded research projects, including work with organizations like PHAC, SSHRC, and the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (CNPEA). Dr. Roger holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Toronto and has extensive postdoctoral training in palliative care research. Her educational background also includes certifications in clinical psychotherapy and applied psychology. Her research interests include elder abuse, family caregiving dynamics, and the social determinants of health.
