Kerry Marsden

Kerry Marsden is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Cal Poly Humboldt. They have been teaching since 2013, with a focus on composition, rhetoric, and interdisciplinary studies connecting queer and crip theory to pedagogy.

• M.A. in English from Cal Poly Humboldt
• B.A. in English, Ethnic American Literature, and Multicultural Queer Studies from Cal Poly Humboldt

Their research interests span writing studies, queer theory, fat liberation, disability studies, and speculative fiction, emphasizing intersections of identity, literacy, and social justice.

Teaching & Personal Interests

Kerry teaches courses such as Composition and Rhetoric, Information Literacy, and Health and Body Politics. Outside academia, they enjoy gardening, role-playing games, and caring for their cats.
