Kerry Chappell

Kerry Chappell is a Professor in the School of Education at the University of Exeter, where she leads the MA Creative Arts in Education Programme and the Creativity and Emergent Educational Futures Network. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Centre of Creativities, Arts and Science in Education at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Bergen, Norway.

Her research explores creativity in education through transdisciplinary, arts-based, and science-based lenses, focusing on embodied dialogue as a collaborative, ethical, and material-driven process. She employs participatory methodologies that prioritize teachers' and children's agency, addressing Anthropocentric challenges in educational systems.

Kerry contributes to institutional networks including the Creativity and Emergent Educational Futures Network and the Children & Young People Wellbeing @Exeter group.
