Kerry A. Causey is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW). She has over two decades of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with expertise in clinical social work, trauma-informed care, and culturally-responsive practice. Her work focuses on children, youth, and families involved with child welfare and juvenile justice systems, as well as program development and implementation.
Previously, Causey directed a children's outpatient mental health clinic in southern California, served the Khmer community, and led Project Kealahou in Hawaii—a gender-responsive, trauma-informed program for girls and families affected by trauma. She has taught at universities nationwide and held leadership roles at multiple agencies.
Educational Background: MSW from California State University, Long Beach (1992); BA in Psychology from Scripps College (1985).
