Kent M. Daane is Professor of Cooperative Extension Specialist at UC Berkeley, developing ecologically-based pest management systems for agricultural crops through biological control and sustainable practices.
Research focuses on mealybug management in vineyards, invasive species control (olive fly, spotted wing drosophila), and vector-pathogen interactions in tree crops. Current projects investigate Grapevine Red Blotch Virus epidemiology and biological control agent evaluation.
