Dr. Kenneth Westover is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology and Chief of Lung Radiation Oncology Service at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He also serves as co-director of the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center’s thoracic disease-oriented team and Director of Clinical Innovation and Information Systems in the Department of Radiation Oncology. His research focuses on developing targeted therapies for RAS and kinase-driven cancers, with breakthroughs in KRAS G12C inhibitors influencing FDA-approved drugs like sotorasib and adagrasib. Clinically, he innovates software tools for radiation oncology operations and explores adaptive radiation techniques for lung cancer patients, including SAbR/SBRT fraction timing optimizations and MRI-guided systems. He leads the Westover Lab, integrating protein chemistry, structural biology, and informatics to advance oncology therapies.
