Kenneth Schepler

Kenneth L. Schepler is a Research Professor at the College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL), University of Central Florida. His career spans academic, military, and government research roles, including 32 years as a research physicist at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and prior service in the U.S. Air Force, where he investigated laser bioeffects and evaluated technical data.

• Education: BS in Physics from Michigan State University (1971), MS and PhD in Physics from the University of Michigan.

His research focuses on solid-state laser physics, laser materials spectroscopy, and nonlinear frequency conversion, with applications in optical systems and laser technology. He contributes to the Laser Plasma Laboratory at CREOL and has authored or co-authored numerous studies in photonics and optical engineering.
