Kenneth Rooney is Lecturer in Medieval and Renaissance Literature at University College Cork's School of English. His research examines representations of death in Middle English texts, analyzing literary responses to mortality across genres from romance to devotional literature. Rooney authored 'Mortality and Imagination: The Life of the Dead in Medieval English Literature' - the first comprehensive study of death across medieval vernacular writing.
