Kenneth Ralph Kincaid

Kenneth Ralph Kincaid, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of History at Purdue University Northwest. His affiliations include membership in the Center for Global Studies, role as faculty advisor to Phi Alpha Theta, and participation in the History Graduate Committee. He previously served as PNW Chair of Grade Appeals (2017-2019) and held advisory roles in global engagement and inclusion initiatives.

Dr. Kincaid holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Kansas. His research focuses on environmental and ethnographical studies in Latin America, particularly Ecuador and Peru, with additional work on U.S. Latinx communities and immigration issues. He emphasizes global citizenship in teaching, developing four study abroad programs to Peru and Cuba.

His publications explore topics ranging from tourism impacts in Ecuador to ecological imperialism and indigenous cultural preservation. He has received awards including the PNW Founders Day Award and ACUE Fellowship, reflecting his commitment to pedagogy and engagement.

Dr. Kincaid’s work bridges historical scholarship with contemporary global issues through experiential learning and interdisciplinary approaches.
