Kenneth Andrews

Kenneth (Andy) Andrews is a Professor of Sociology and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Sociology at Washington University in St. Louis, within the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds the Tileston Professorship of Arts and Sciences. Andrews earned his PhD in Sociology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Research Interests: Andrews specializes in the influence of protest and social movements on politics, media, and social change. His work focuses on how marginalized groups drive societal shifts, particularly through studies of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement, environmental activism, and contemporary movements like Black Lives Matter.
