Ken Sorenson is a Lecturer in the Economics and Finance Department at Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. He holds an M.S. in International Business from Pepperdine University (1999) and a B.S. in Business from Jacksonville State University (1997).
With over 20 years of industry experience, he specializes in institutional investment strategies including hedge funds, private equity, distressed credit, and convertible bonds. His teaching focuses on corporate finance and international finance principles.
Prior to academia, Sorenson served as Vice President at Calamos Advisors (2014-2020) and held senior positions at Sanborn Kilcollin Partners, Hovde Capital Advisors, Eurex US, and Deutsche Börse AG. He is fluent in German and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
