Ken Griffith, Ph.D. serves as an Instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech University. He concurrently holds leadership roles as Associate Director of the Teaching, Learning & Professional Development Center (TLPDC) and Director of the STEM Teaching, Engagement & Pedagogy (STEP) Faculty & Student Partnerships program.

Dr. Griffith's research spans two phases: initial work on environmental radiation impacts on mammalian chromosomes and cellular signaling in human addiction, followed by his current focus on Biology Education Research and STEM education. He investigates how Evidence-Based Instructional Research (EBIR) influences STEM student persistence, with particular emphasis on pedagogical strategies in higher education.
His publications demonstrate expertise in radiation biology and environmental toxicology, while his teaching excellence awards (2013, 2014) highlight his commitment to education. Dr. Griffith also contributes to curriculum development as a member of the DBS A&P Curriculum Committee.
