Kelsey Stuart

Dr. Kelsey Stuart is an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London, and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge's MRC Epidemiology Unit. She holds clinical roles as a Clinical Fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital and a Medical Officer at Kimberley Hospital's Ophthalmology Department in South Africa. Her academic journey includes a PhD from UCL, an MSc from the University of Oxford, and an MBBCh from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is also trained in surgical education (MRCSEd), ophthalmology (DipOphth), tropical medicine (DTM&H), and HIV management (DipHIVMan).

Her research focuses on glaucoma epidemiology, genetic predisposition, public health interventions, and machine learning applications in ophthalmology. Notable areas include environmental risk factors (air pollution, socioeconomic status), metabolic pathways (one-carbon metabolism, pyruvate modulation), and cross-ancestry genomic studies.
