Dr. Kelsey Rice is an Assistant Professor of History at Berry College, specializing in the cultural history of the modern Middle East and Central Eurasia. She focuses on Azerbaijan and its intellectual networks across the Russian Empire, Ottoman Empire, and Iran during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Her research explores Turkic intellectual traditions, historic and contemporary relations between Iran and the South Caucasus, and the evolution of Azerbaijani theater. She teaches courses on Middle East History, Russia/Soviet Union, World History, and Public History & Material Culture.
