About
Kelly dos Santos is a Research Fellow at the Blanquerna School of Psychology, Education and Sports Sciences, where she contributed to the predoctoral project titled 'Actividad física y cardiotoxicidad en niños supervivientes de cáncer.' The project, led by Principal Investigator Giné Garriga, Maria, ran from March 2018 to February 2021 under a postdoctoral fellowship program. Her work focuses on the intersection of physical activity and cardiovascular health in pediatric cancer survivors.
Research interests include exercise science applications for improving outcomes in vulnerable pediatric populations, particularly addressing cardiotoxic effects of cancer treatments. This aligns with broader themes in sports medicine and oncology survivorship care.
As part of this fellowship, Kelly collaborated on a multidisciplinary project investigating how structured physical activity interventions can mitigate long-term cardiotoxic effects in childhood cancer survivors. The initiative highlights translational research aimed at optimizing survivorship care through evidence-based exercise protocols.
