Kelly Vinson

Kelly Vinson is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Del Mar College. She earned her PhD from Texas A&M University in August 2020. Her research focuses on organizational sociology, reproduction and birth, and sex and gender. Her doctoral dissertation explored the intersection of reproductive justice frameworks and organizational theory, analyzing how hospital characteristics influence labor and birth experiences.

Dr. Vinson has taught courses such as Introduction to Gender and Society and Introduction to Sociology at Texas A&M, and assisted in teaching Methods of Sociological Research and Reproduction, Birth, and Power. She completed the TAMU Center for Teaching Excellence Academy for Future Faculty and Teaching Assistant Institute.
