Kelly Shue is a Professor (Adjunct) of Law at Yale Law School and the Amman Mineral Professor of Finance at the Yale School of Management. She holds a PhD, AM, and AB from Harvard University. Her research focuses on behavioral finance, including sustainable investing, CEO pay, gender promotion gaps, and cognitive biases in financial decision-making. Her work has been featured in top journals like the Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics, and she serves as an associate editor for these and other leading publications.
Shue’s research highlights critical issues such as how sustainable investing strategies can inadvertently worsen environmental outcomes, the role of cognitive biases in market behavior, and the gender disparities in housing returns and promotions. Awards include the AQR Insight Award and Wharton School-WRDS Award. She has advised on policy and taught courses in corporate finance and behavioral economics.
