Dr. Kelly Roberts is a Professor of English and Program Coordinator for 6-12 English licensure at Meredith College. Her work focuses on innovative teaching methods, social justice education, and autobiographical reflection in pedagogy. She directs study abroad programs in Belize and Italy, emphasizing cultural immersion and experiential learning.
Education: PhD in Curriculum, Culture, and Change from UNC Chapel Hill (dissertation on autobiography and teacher reflection); MS in English Education from NC State University; BA in English (summa cum laude) from Meredith College.
Research interests include critical thinking development, reflective practice, and feminist epistemology in education. Her studies explore how autobiographical tools and low-tech feedback systems enhance student learning. She has presented at conferences such as AERA and the International Conference on Critical Thinking.
