Kelly Digby Peebles

Kelly Digby Peebles is an Associate Professor of French in the Department of Languages at Clemson University's College of Arts and Humanities. She holds a Ph.D. in French from the University of Virginia (2010), an M.A. from the University of South Carolina (2001), and a B.A. from Randolph-Macon Woman's College (1999). Her research focuses on Renaissance French literature, book history, and women's contributions to 16th-century French religious and cultural life. She currently directs the Language & International Health program and has authored/co-edited works such as Representing the Life and Legacy of Renée de France (2021) and Tales and Trials of Love (2014).
