About
Dr. Kelly D. Clay is Professor of Geoscience at the University of Wisconsin–Madison researching marine microfossils to reconstruct ocean-climate interactions throughout Earth's history.
Research examines biotic responses to past climate events using planktonic foraminifera. Specializations include high-resolution geochemical analysis of microfossils and sedimentation patterns over 150 million years.
Current investigations focus on Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum analogues and carbon cycle perturbations. Teaches courses in Oceanography, Paleoceanography, and Marine Micropaleontology.
Supervises graduate students in paleoclimate reconstruction and microfossil analysis techniques.
