Kelly Carabott

Kelly Carabott is a Lecturer at Monash University’s Faculty of Education, specializing in the School of Curriculum Teaching & Inclusive Education. Her research focuses on digital technologies in literacy education, multimodal texts, and phenomenological inquiry. She holds a PhD from Monash University, exploring picturebook pedagogy, and has authored/co-authored influential works like Phenomenological Inquiry in Education. Kelly co-edits Literacy Learning: The Middle Years, advocates for teacher education partnerships, and has presented globally on literacy practices. She has received prestigious awards, including the ALEA Doctoral Thesis Award (2024), and actively contributes to initiatives like ABC Education’s GOAT Grammar Project.
