Kelly C. Sharron is an Assistant Teaching Professor affiliated with the Department of Sociology and the Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Kansas.

Research Interests:
Kelly Sharron’s research explores the intersections of state tactics, police brutality, and feminist ethics, particularly analyzing how the feminist ethic of care can paradoxically produce violent effects. Her work contributes to critical discussions in sociology, gender studies, and social justice.

Publications:
Her scholarship has appeared in journals such as Somatechnics, TSQ: Trans Studies Quarterly, and Abolition Journal.

Current Projects:
She is co-editing a textbook titled Feminist Studies: Foundations, Conversations, Applications (Routledge Press), which will serve as a foundational resource for feminist studies.
