Kelli Prejean is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Marshall University. She has held multiple administrative roles including Writing Center Director (2005-2011), Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (2011-2012), and Coordinator of Composition (2012-2020). Her work focuses on composition theory, pedagogy, and literacy studies.

Her research examines the professional development of new writing teachers, literacy and identity sponsorship, and the intersections of gender and emotional labor in writing program administration. She teaches courses in composition theory, literacy studies, and research-based composition.
