Keith Timms

Dr. Keith D. Timms is an Associate Professor of Music, Director of Choral Activities, and Chair of the Department of Music at Erskine College. He has been actively involved in music education and choral directing for decades.

With a research focus on choral music pedagogy, music education, and vocal performance, Dr. Timms contributes to the development of music curricula and choral conducting techniques. His work intersects with the broader fields of music theory and historical practice.

Dr. Timms has served as a clinician and adjudicator at numerous choral festivals and competitions. He is affiliated with the College Music Society, National Association for Music Education, and the American Choral Directors Association, where he held leadership roles in the South Carolina chapter.

Based in the Moss Mathematics and Music Educational Facility, Room 107, Dr. Timms combines academic leadership with practical choral direction, maintaining a 30-year legacy in music education.
