Keith Stokes

Keith Stokes is a Professor at the University of Bath's Department for Health, specializing in injury prevention in sports and frailty mitigation in older adults. He joined the university in 2002 and has secured over £5 million in external funding from organizations like the Rugby Football Union and World Rugby.

His research focuses on:

• Biomechanical analysis of sports injuries
• Development of safety protocols for contact sports
• Physiological interventions for aging populations
• Global policy impact on sports regulations

Stokes has supervised 26 PhD students to completion and serves on editorial boards for the Journal of Sports Sciences. His inaugural lecture addressed rugby safety science leading to global rule changes.
