Dr. Keith Spiller is an Associate Professor of Criminology at the University of Southampton's Department of Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology. His research focuses on security measures, counter-terrorism strategies, surveillance technologies, and regulatory compliance. He leads the Leverhulme Trust-funded project on Watch Groups and has previously worked on projects like 'Monetize Me' (EPSRC) and 'Increasing Resilience in Surveillance Society' (EU FP7). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and supervises PhD students in areas related to counter-terrorism and surveillance.
