Dr. Keith E. Mellinger is a Professor of Mathematics and serves as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Mary Washington (UMW). He joined UMW after completing his academic training, including a Ph.D. and M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Delaware, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Millersville University.
Research Interests
Dr. Mellinger's scholarly work focuses on finite geometry and its applications to coding theory. He is also deeply engaged in mathematics pedagogy, exploring innovative teaching methods and contributing to curriculum development. His research bridges theoretical mathematics with practical educational strategies, emphasizing the importance of experiential learning and undergraduate research.
