Keith Lowe

Dr. Keith Lowe is a Professor in the Department of Finance, Economics & Accounting at Jacksonville State University's College of Business and Industry. He has been employed at JSU since 1997 and holds a PhD from The University of Alabama, an MBA from Jacksonville State University, and a BS from Jacksonville State University. A native of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, Dr. Lowe teaches courses in statistics, quantitative methods, and business analytics, including ST 260, ST 261, ST 345, BA 500, and BA 530.

His research spans business statistics and economics, with key interests in:

• Probability modeling for gaming industries (poker, blackjack, casinos)
• Economic analysis of U.S. gaming revenues and sports gambling policy
• Sales tax legislation and consumer bankruptcy trends
• Financial statement variables affecting stock markets
• Payday lending regulations

He serves as faculty advisor for the JSU Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the national business honor society. Outside academia, he enjoys distance running and travel.
