Keith Inman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at California State University, East Bay (CSUEastBay). With over 30 years of experience as a forensic scientist, he has worked in laboratories for the Los Angeles County Sheriff, Los Angeles County Chief Medical-Examiner/Coroner, California Department of Justice, and Oakland Police Department. His expertise spans DNA analysis, crime scene investigation, evidence preservation, and crime scene reconstruction.
Education: B.S. in Criminalistics (University of California, Berkeley, 1974) and MCrim (UC Berkeley, 1978). He co-authored forensic science texts and presented globally at professional conferences. Prior to his current role, he lectured at Cal State East Bay.
Teaching includes Basic/Advanced Criminal Investigation, Criminal Identification, Comparative Evidence, and Forensic Seminar. Research focuses on physical evidence recovery and criminal event reconstruction.
