Keith Davey

Keith Davey is an Associate Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Manchester. His research focuses on material and structural response under extreme conditions, including solidification modeling, casting simulation, and fracture mechanics. He holds advanced degrees from UMIST and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, with additional postgraduate studies in mathematics through the Open University.

Key research interests include finite similitude scaling theory, stochastic physical systems, and the application of boundary element methods. He has contributed to over 170 peer-reviewed publications and leads the Solid Mechanics Group, investigating topics like scalable materials, fracture mechanics, and fluid-structure interactions.
