Keith Crews

Professor Keith Crews is affiliated with the School of Civil Engineering at The University of Queensland, where he serves as Centre Director of the ARC Research Hub to Advance Timber for Australia's Future Built Environment. His research focuses on Structural Engineering, Timber Engineering, and Composite Structures, particularly in sustainable construction materials.

Research Interests include timber connection design, composite structural systems, vibration analysis of long-span floors, and weathering effects on timber durability. Recent work examines FRP reinforcement for timber beams, dowel embedment strength, and ductility optimization in timber connections.

Grants include ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hubs (2023-2028) and ARC Linkage Projects (2022-2027) supporting timber innovation in construction.
