Kayla Jachimowski

Kayla Jachimowski is an Assistant Professor of Criminology, Law and Society at Saint Vincent College, where she directs the Master of Science in Criminology Program. Her research focuses on mental health intersections with criminology, hate crime analysis, and quantitative methodologies.

Her publications examine critical issues in contemporary criminology, including LGBTQ+ hate crime reporting patterns and mental health resource impacts on policing. Recent work investigates barriers to hate crime reporting within vulnerable communities. Professor Jachimowski is pursuing an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) certification to integrate financial management perspectives into criminology research.
