Dr. Kay Seo is a Professor of Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) specializing in learner engagement and digital technology in online environments. She holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Utah State University and has been recognized with the prestigious Ph.D. Scholar Award. Her professional roles include Founding President of the AECT Learner Engagement Division and SIG, Associate Editor for the International Journal of Innovation in Education, and Editorial Board member for several academic publications.

Her research focuses on advancing educational technology through innovative approaches like AI-driven adaptive teaching systems, virtual simulations for healthcare training, and leveraging social media for effective instruction. She has pioneered work in cyberbullying prevention programs and audio-based learning tools.
