Katy Korsmeyer

Dr. Katy Korsmeyer serves as Lecturer and Director of Special Projects for the College of Arts and Sciences at Santa Clara University. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Chemistry from UCLA.

Her work centers on K-12 STEM outreach through the Santa Clara County Biotechnology Education Partnership (SCCBEP), which develops mobile lab curricula and provides teacher professional development. She coordinates equipment donations to schools and leads the Silicon Valley STEM Internship program connecting high school students with research labs.

Additional initiatives include the Young Explorers program promoting women in STEM and institutional partnerships with the Association for Women in Science (AWIS).
