Prof. Dr. Katrin Rolka is the Head of the Mathematics Didactics Group (Gruppe Rolka) at the Faculty of Mathematics, Ruhr University Bochum. Her work focuses on innovative teaching methods, digital learning materials, and bridging school-to-university transitions in mathematics education. She collaborates closely with schools and institutions like the Alfried Krupp Schülerlabor to develop project-based learning initiatives in geometry, stochastics, and applied mathematics.
Research interests include diagnosing student learning needs, fostering inclusive teaching practices, and evaluating digital tools with automated feedback systems.
