Katja Hilbert

Katja Hilbert is a Lecturer in English Didactics at the University of Würzburg, affiliated with the Institute of Modern Languages and the Chair of Subject Didactics – Modern Foreign Languages with a focus on English Language and Literature Didactics.

Her research and teaching focus on innovative approaches to English language education, including digital storytelling, AI integration, and learner autonomy. She is actively involved in the TEFL Day, an annual academic conference she helps organize, which explores themes like multilingualism, mental health, and cultural learning in foreign language classrooms.

Hilbert collaborates internationally, including with institutions such as Flagler College and Zaporizhzhia National Polytechnic University, and participates in projects like CoTeach and StoryTimE, which aim to enhance immersive and inclusive learning environments.
