Katja Gabius

Prof. Dr. Katja Gabius is a Professor at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen (HfWU) since 2008. She serves as the chairperson of the examination board for the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBF) and is the representative for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses. Her expertise spans banking law, capital markets law, and corporate governance, informed by her prior decade-long tenure as a corporate lawyer and legal consultant in major firms.

• Professional Experience: Former legal advisor at Harrer & Krevet, Syndikusanwältin (in-house counsel) at Stuttgarter Volksbank AG, and lecturer at HfWU and Pforzheim University

Her research focuses on legal frameworks in business and finance, with international collaborations in Switzerland and France. She holds leadership roles in academic governance and is fluent in English and French.

Current affiliations include the FinanzColloquium Heidelberg and BeckAkademie Munich, where she lectures on corporate law and governance.
