Dr. Katie Slatton is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Liberal Studies (Kinesiology) at Texas A&M University at Galveston. She holds a B.S. in Kinesiology (2001) and an M.A. in Education (2001), both from the University of Montevallo. Her professional certifications include Crossfit Level 1, NSCA membership, and AFFA certifications in Mat Pilates and Kickboxing. Her research and teaching focus on health science, exercise physiology, and fitness education.
Dr. Slatton teaches courses like Science of Basic Health and Fitness, CPR ExFit, Yoga, Pilates, and Strength Training.
