Katie Loth is an Associate Professor and Associate Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Twin Cities. She is also a registered clinical dietitian providing nutrition counseling across the lifespan.
Her research focuses on social and environmental influences on child and adolescent eating behaviors, dietary intake, weight status, and disordered eating. She is particularly interested in how parents can support healthy relationships with food and body image in their children.
Dr. Loth leads and contributes to several key research initiatives, including the Preschool Plates, Project EAT, and Kids EAT! programs, which aim to promote healthy eating in early childhood and adolescence through family and community engagement.
