Katie Hanburger is a Los Angeles-based graphic designer and educator. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from CalArts and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Currently a Senior Lecturer at Otis College of Art and Design, she has taught there since 2009.

Her practice spans collaborative design, freelance work, and in-house roles for clients like LACMA, Art Center College of Design, and Planned Parenthood LA. Notably, she co-founded the design collaborative The Slow Season with Julie Cho.
Recent publications include Inside Out & Upside Down: Posters from CalArts, 1980-2019 (2020) and Machine Project: The Platinum Collection (2017), reflecting her expertise in experimental visual communication and interdisciplinary design.
