Kathryn Tempest

Dr. Kathryn Tempest is a Lecturer in Roman History at the University of Leicester's School of Archaeology and Ancient History. She holds a BA (Hons), MA, and PhD in Classics from Royal Holloway, University of London. Prior to joining Leicester, she lectured at the University of Roehampton from 2007 to 2024.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on Cicero, Roman Republican history, cultural and political history, and the theory and practice of rhetoric. She bridges classical scholarship with contemporary engagement.
