Dr. Kathryn Nethercott is a Senior Lecturer in Education Studies and Course Coordinator for the BA (Hons) Education with Psychology at the University of Bedfordshire, School of Education. Her research focuses on inter-professional collaboration in child welfare services, Teaching Assistant experiences, and student retention strategies in Higher Education. She holds a PhD in Applied Social Studies (2015) examining the Common Assessment Framework's impact on frontline professionals.
Previously, she served as Lead Researcher at the Family Matters Institute, conducting projects funded by local authorities and DCSF. Her qualifications include a BSc (Hons) Psychology (First Class) and Fellowship of the Higher Education Authority. She is a member of the British Psychological Society.
External roles include External Examiner positions at the University of Worcester (BA Professional Practice), Birmingham City University (BA Education Studies), and the University of Sussex (BA Childhood & Youth). She has contributed to validation panels for numerous Higher Education institutions.
