Kathryn Howell

Kathryn Howell is Associate Professor in Urban Studies & Planning at the University of Maryland and Director of the National Center for Smart Growth. Her research examines displacement, affordable housing preservation, and eviction dynamics.

Howell co-founded the RVA Eviction Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University, creating community-responsive data tools for housing justice advocates.
