Kathryn Davis

Kathryn Davis is a Visiting Senior Fellow in Practice at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Law School, appointed in September 2023. She has delivered commercial awareness workshops for LLB and LLM students since 2018. Concurrently, she serves as an external member of the University of Oxford's Audit and Scrutiny Committee, Independent Non-Executive Director of Legal & General Affordable Homes, and holds leadership roles at the Girls' Day School Trust as Non-Executive Director, Trustee, Deputy Chair of Council, and Chair of the Estates Committee.

• MA in Jurisprudence, University of Oxford
• Solicitor's final exams (LPC equivalent), Chester Law School

Research Focus: Her work centers on practical legal education with emphasis on corporate governance, transactional law practice, and commercial awareness training. Primary domains include mergers and acquisitions structuring, corporate financing mechanisms, commercial contract frameworks, and legal training methodologies derived from extensive private practice experience.

Professional Engagement: Maintains consultancy with legal training provider Accutrainee for trainee solicitor recruitment and mentorship. Previously spent 26 years at Slaughter and May (17 as partner), developing institutional knowledge resources for M&A transactions and capital maintenance protocols while overseeing trainee development programs.
