Kathrin Morosow

Kathrin Morosow is a Lecturer in Social Statistics at The University of Manchester, joining in 2021. Previously, she was a Research Associate at the University of Bath working on the NEWFAMSTRAT project under Prof. Lynn Prince Cooke. Her research focuses on social policy impacts, labor market inequalities, and unintended policy consequences, particularly regarding family leave policies.

Education: PhD in Sociological Demography from Stockholm University (2019), MSc in Demography (2014) and BA in Social Sciences (2011) from University of Rostock, Germany.

Teaching includes courses like Introduction to Population Development, Statistical Foundations, and Theory and Method in Demography. She supervises PhD students in work-family dynamics and social policy research.

Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to reducing inequalities. She is affiliated with the Work and Equalities Institute and the Cathie Marsh Institute at Manchester.
